OUR WORLD
AND OUR BROTHERS ARE VERY SICK
AND WE
MUST BOND TOGETHER TO MAKE US WELL AGAIN
Prayers for Humanity
 |
Our prayers are offered for our Presidents, World Leaders and those aspiring to
be...
that they may recognize the difference between ego and service. |
| |
|
 |
Our prayers
are offered for the military, in
whatever nation, that they may return
to their families safely, whole, with a yet greater understanding of humanity,
compassion and humility. |
| |
|
 |
Our prayers are offered for the many thousands who have have lost their home,
friends,
family, employment, and their very lives in Louisiana, Mississippi and
Alabama in the U.S.
due to the massive flooding caused by Hurricane Katrina. |
| |
|
 |
Our prayers are
offered for the thousands of
family members
of the victims
of the
tsunami
which affected Thailand, Indonesia, Sri Lanka and India. May their
hearts be
at peace.
May we
recognize our need to
understand and work with the the earth and
its movements and cycles.
|
| |
|
 |
Our prayers are offered for those continually suffering for the sake of
their religious
beliefs:
Moslems, Jews, Palestinians, Christians and others. May they know
that
peace will ultimately prevail as humanity
recognizes there is One
Supreme God of
All That Is, which binds all
men as brothers, and that that is the only true law which
governs all. |
| |
|
 |
Our prayers are offered for the
victims and perpetrators alike of the seemingly endless Middle Eastern
Wars - Saudi Arabia, Israel, Palestine, Lebanon, Iraq, Iran, Kuwait,
Afghanistan, Pakistan. May all involved awaken to learn forgiveness,
tolerance, acceptance, negotiation, integrity, righteousness and brotherhood.
And may the continuous results of the ego's
need to take, to punish, and to
combat be living proof
that war does not work.

Our
prayers are offered for the 11 million children alone, under the age of 15, in
south Africa
that
have lost at least one
or both
parents to AIDS; and estimates are that
by 2010,
that
figure will be 20 million children, who are left completely alone to fend for
themselves.
This epidemic
includes India and Brazil.

proliferation of
AIDS in the world:

 |
Our prayers are offered for the elderly, who have no income, no future, no
care, no
support, nor love.
May every generation know that we all will grow old and face the
reality of life's fleeting
moments, and may we be gracious, respectful and patient
enough to gleam the wisdom of
the aged, and appreciate their lives, as one day, we
hope some will appreciate our
own value. |
| |
|
 |
Our
prayers are offered for the living relatives of the over 380,000 people who have
been killed by the genocidal regime in Sudan. We must support the Darfur
Peace
and
Accountability Act quickly as 15,000 innocent children and families are brutally
slaughtered per
month. May the perpetrators grow to know that they kill
their brother. |
| |
|
 |
Our prayers are offered for the hundreds of thousands of people in Sudan and
Afghanistan
as
well
as other underdeveloped nations of the world
who are
facing immediate death from
slavery, famine
and lack of water and medicines. May the collective heart of the world
contribute what they can to help feed these innocents. |
| |
|
 |
Our
prayers are offered for the many thousands of women, young girls and children
under the age of 8, who are brutally gang-raped in the Congo; who are tortured
and stabbed with knives or sharp objects between their legs after being raped,
or who have pistols shoved into their vaginas, and the trigger pulled.
This, as retribution from opposing militia groups, men in
uniform, who form part of the
Congolese army. May these women know that all women feel
their pain and honor their
courage. May the perpetrators recognize their barbaric acts
and know that their rage
and ignorance can be
healed. |
| |
|
 |
Our
prayers are offered for the children throughout the developing world who lack
access
to even the most basic cancer treatment and pain relief, leading to the
needless deaths
of
100,000
children every year in the U.S. alone, while they wait for the World Health
Organization, the World Trade Organization and the pharmaceutical industry to
cooperate
in
reducing the price of anti-cancer drugs.
|
| |
|
  |
Our prayers are offered
for the people of Cuba, Colombia, Burma, and,
other countries
who are burdened by
military dictatorship and whose human rights are violently trampled.
|
 |
Our prayers are offered for the women and 2 million children, some as young as
10,
who labor in
the
brothels of India, Thailand, Cambodia, Rumania, and a host of
other
countries around the world, forced into sexual slavery and who live their lives in a
virtual prison. |
| |
|
 |
Our prayers
are offered for all those suffering in Africa, in Asia, in South America,
in the
Middle
East,
and indeed all over the world, from loneliness, disease,
poverty, slavery,
starvation, war, torture, greed, ignorance, and deceit.
May the world know of their plight
and take heart in hand for
their wellbeing. |
| |
|
 |
Our prayers are offered for indigenous people everywhere. May their rights,
sovereignty,
wealth,
dignity, pride and health be restored. And may generations
to come remember
the injustices they suffered as
their names, homes, families, land, food, and freedom were stolen, and lies
compromised their ability to trust. May their collective wisdom of the
living earth and Spirit be spread around the world, as prophesy has it. |
| |
|
 |
Our prayers are offered for Alaska's Tongass National Forest and South
America's Amazon Forest
which
are imperiled by the timber industry's greed, thus jeopardizing wild and roadless areas and
seriously compromising this planet's eco system. |
| |
|
 |
Our prayers are offered to the animal kingdom which is tortured, killed
inhumanely,
denied their freedom, and abused by
ignorance, for entertainment, for hatred, for the sake of medical advancement,
for use in sundry products, and for our meals.
